Hello Munckins!!! How are we doing today? I believe we are all immensely happy and blessed. Yeah I know it is been a while. Do pardon me busy self but I am back to give you all a continuation. Please do feel free to leave me a comment letting me know what you think thus far. It would really help me develop and I would appreciate it.
He got to her office and noticed that the car had been delivered. Well that’s good he thought. He entered the company and as usual responded to the stares. He got to Sara and requested that his presence not be announced. She trusted him weirdly so she obeyed. As coolly as possible he walked to her office and entered. There she was looking drained and lifeless. She had been crying. Worry crept in. What was wrong? He thought. Without any effort she turned to him. She shook her head like she was trying to imply something but he did not get it. She finally managed to say, “please take me home”. He nodded. He stepped out and asked Sara for Rachel’s address which she immediately gave. He came back into her office and helped her up and picked up her bag. She led the way without saying a word. She passed everyone without a word. When she got outside she walked straight to Micheal’s car. She let him open the door and she got in.
In silence, he drove her to her house. She was operating like some robot, no words at all. She got out of the car and he followed with her bag. At the door she collected the bag and searched for her key. She let them in. He was impressed with her home. Neat and everything. Now was not the time to take it all in. She climbed upstairs and he followed closely. Her bedroom was perfect and coincidentally with white decor. Instinct had helped him. She made for her drawer, pulled out some drug container, poured the pills into her hands and swallowed them. She sank into the bed. “I just drank sleeping pills. I will be fine so please get back to work,” she said absently. “Thank you a lot Micheal. When I wake up can we have dinner together?” She asked having on the best smile she could summon. He smiled at her and said, “of course any time is fine”. He walked to her then pecked her and left the room. She got into the bed and had a good sleep.
Knocked out she slept without hearing a single thing, no thoughts just peace. Unknowing to her, Micheal had not gone anywhere. He had remained in the house. Immediately he left Rachel’s room he went downstairs and made himself comfortable. He pulled off his jacket, sat down and got on the phone. He called his office and gave relevant instructions to hold in his absence. He also did a couple of video conferencing. He had his home called and had a change of wear delivered. Lastly he ordered dinner. Confused on what she would like he got quite a variety which looked more like a buffet. He made use of the rest room downstairs and changed into black slacks and polo. He finished all he had to do by 6 pm. He switched off his phones and made himself comfortable on the cushion. He had seen a picture of her very young with a woman he concluded to be her mother. However, there was something familiar about the woman. He had seen her somewhere but where remained a blank zone. He was really worried about the one person he had allowed in as a friend. He had not known her for long but felt like they had be good friends. She had offered to be there for him during this period and now she is down as well. He would have to be here for her. Resting on the cushion, he attempted to decipher the problem.
Rachel woke up at about 9 pm and was quite drained but also hungry. She dragged herself up from the bed and sat in front of her mirror. She was a mess in fact that was a compliment. Her face had no form of colour. She slapped her cheeks a couple of times to return colour to her face but it was plain pain. She took her make-up wipes and gave her face a thorough wipe. Her brown eyes lost their usual sparkle. She stared at herself for a while trying to reckon with herself. Finally she forced herself to smile. She applied lip cream to her lips, it was a routine. She remembered how Made’s kiss had affected her earlier today. She refused to dwell on it so she got up and walked on her closet. She changed into dark pants and a blue tan top. She packed her weave into a pony tail and slipped her legs into her slippers. Now she was ready for dinner. She was in the mood for some Chinese.
She went down the stairs and there he was, peacefully asleep. He looked completely dark thanks to his apparel. He had stayed and she was moved. She smiled as she walked to him. Her plan today was for them to hang out and have dinner together but the whole Made thing had ruined it. Now she felt bad. She slid her fingers through his hair then touched his face and bent to peck him. That’s all he needed to wake up. His eyes opened in a flash to see her smiling down at him. She was plain again but extremely beautiful. He sat up and pulled her down to sit by him. “What happened Ray? You had me worried. The one person that had a plan to bring back sunshine into my life crashes and I have no clue what is wrong,” he said sadly looking deep into her eyes. “Let’s just say Ray had an encounter with a hurtful past but I am fine now and I haven’t forgotten my plan,”she replied sounding more alive than before. Micheal smiled because she was coming around. “Now I am terribly hungry and wish to order Chinese,”she said getting up to reach for her phone. “Young lady,” Micheal said getting up “you might want to have a look at your dining table,” he finished. She looked at him with an expression that said ‘what have you done now?’
Holding onto her phone she obediently walked into her dinning room. Lo and behold, food! The table was over pouring with food and most importantly there was Chinese special fried rice. She turned around and gave him a big hug. She was a lot more than grateful. She ran to the the table and began sorting through the food. Micheal simply stood, arms folded and resting against the door. He watched her. He followed her every movement like he was watching a movie, one he had to concentrate on so he concentrated on her. She did her sorting, carried some of the food to the kitchen and set the table for them. She went to her bar and got a bottle of baileys and two glass cups. She stood and smiled as a way of inviting him to the table. He moved away from the door and walked towards the table. He walked around and helped her with her chair. She sat and so he did. “I don’t know how to tell you thank you for today,”Rachel said shyly. “You can pay me back by being happy always especially when you are around me,” he said touching her hand. They barely known each other for two days but he felt responsible for her. She smiled and stretched to peck him. “So you know dinner was for today but I was supposed to do the cooking,” she informed him. “We can act like you did,” he offered with a smile. She laughed and they began to eat. They had a lovely dinner chitchatting and teasing one another. She was crazy. She made Micheal laugh till he choked. They looked right, perfect in all.
